I've built a free site. It includes: warn page, main page, and two galleries of high resolution photos.

The plan is to replace the links on my site hub BLONDE STOP with free sites I host myself. Please give me your opinion or thoughts you might have on my first free site linked below.

Besides building links in the hub, I plan to submit galleries to TGP's for traffic.

Question: Are the galleries I created good enough to submit to a thumbnail gallery site like the Hun or similar TGP's?

The structure is basically correct, but I certainly wouldn't start submitting them yet.

Why not look at freesites on linklists like http://www.link-o-rama.com and http://www.richardsrealm.com to see how they're done?

1. The warning page needs work. That's the most effective page on a freesite because down the road, once the rush of traffic is over from the linklist you submit to, you're hoping for steady SE traffic. Concentrate on SEO on that page and consider the fact that with SE traffic, you really want them to click on the banner or text link at the top of the page and not scroll to the 'enter' link and use up your bandwidth.

2. The main page is OK, but sure isn't selling as hard as it could be.

3. The galleries are boring. Putting a bunch of pictures in a couple rows isn't going to sell anything. You need to get way more creative with the sales pitch. Also, keep in mind that you can't use the same template over and over and really should have at least 30 different gallery layouts.

4. The galleries don't have enough pics. Sure, some linklists will accept 20 total but most want more. Also, you should plan on submitting these galleries to the TGPs at the same time that you submit the freesite to the linklists. So, if you build the galleries so they meet the TGPs requirements (might be a little more than you need for a linklist), the only work you need to do to be able to submit them as TGP galleries is to add the TGP recips to the top of the page.

One more thing. You need to brush up on your nomenclature because what you built is a freesite, not a gallery, and it gets submitted to linklists, not TGPs.

The easiest way to start building up a list of linklists to submit to is to look at the freesites listed on a few linklists and the follow the recips on their index page. There will be 9 recips on each one so it should take long to get a good list.

p.s. Your plan to replace the FHGs on your hub is a good one. Remember though that it would be better to add the two individual galleries rather than a link to the freesite itself.

The point is that TGPs and linklists don't allow you to open links in a new window.

I have made many changes to the new free site. I've greatly improved each page using the advise I got from all of you.

Please look again and see if I F'd it up or if I'm on track to submit to a TGP.

Looks a lot better to me, however, a few things need tweaking.

1: The first thing that hit me was that you are gonna deliver quite a few hits to yahoo because the placement of you're exit link. It is just above the banner, and all those too lazy to read could click it because they think it is the link to that banner.

2: You have too many outgoing inks on you're mainpage.

3: You are still popping you're galleries with _blank

4: You're gallery thumbs looks wery fuzzy.

5: You should definately read a bit about SEO. All the pages should have meta tags.
You should name you're pages differently, but with relevant keywords. alt and title tags are non-existent.

That is, if you are planning on some SE traffic later on. If you don't want that, just leave it as is.

That one was a so easy. Lets play again.

Answer: <...target="_blank">
Q: How do I use this exactly? Will it prevent the gallery from opening in a new browser?
Do I simply replace that for this?

QuOte oF tHe DaY.....

You should not be using any target= tags at all. Just link all of the links the default way so the windows all open in the parent window.
