Having a real problem find the code to 301 redirect index.php to /
Can anyone point me in the right direction.. I've tried loads and can't seem to get it right ?? |

I'm assuming you just want to take care of the canonical URL issues. I noticed a while back that index.cfm and index.php sometimes have a different page rank than the simple .com version of the url, which tells me that at least the big G hadn't quite figured it out yet. Big Daddy was supposed to take care of that, but... It's still a good idea to do this redirect, for better user experience if nothing else.
If you are wanting to redirect an entire domain, including all internal files, then that's another story. This is just going to redirect your index.php file to the shorter version of the URL. |
