First of all i want to say hello to everyone here!
Second of course I am going to plead for some decent traders! Seems as though I have found very few who live up to their word. I am getting some pretty good hardlink traffic in at the moment but that is just a start I hope.... some days I get 2000 others 6000 like I said i am new. Mostly i need reliable traders. my alexa rating isn't 2 bad For the time frame, i was on a free host before i stepped my game up in case your wondering about how I have the traffic. I am a member at Netpond where i have a good name. So if anyone is willing to help a guy get a start i sure could use it, drum roll please...... Cranky’s Happy Place! Is proud to present Cranky’s Shack! Our muti-niche TGP/MGP site if you are interested you can submit your galleries here or trade traffic here Hopefully both........ hope to hear from you all soon! have a great day! |

hello again, i have tried to contact those who have signed up through ICQ and Email, some new trades have yet to respond so i am posting here as well. Earlier today after reviewing some logs from protect-x and my script it has come to my attention that the traffic I thought i was getting was bogus. I have eliminated the sources of the bad traffic and it made a drastic change in my hit count.
I do not want to mislead anyone as I believe that forums such as these are for webmasters to help each other as a community. That being the case I have a very low amount of traffic now. those of you who have registered trade's i want you to know that your hits are still being counted and as soon as some real hits come in they will be returned.
In the meantime though if you wish to delete me or disable me from your trades I do understand. On the other hand though without any real trades i will basically go nowhere so I am still pleading for new trades but now i just hope that some of you remember your early days and might be willing to help me with a jumpstart. i try to be reputable and honest. i am sorry for any inconvenience.
Have a good day every one! |

As long as you're not redirecting traffic to your site from formerly posted galleries or 404 traffic, my theory is that at3 is one of the most installed traffic scripts on the internet so it makes a huge target for cheaters. They have bots that spider through the web looking for at3 forms to fill out, send some BS traffic to and hope for some kind of return. I used at3 for about a month and had nothing but problems. One cheater I couldn't even block because he was hitting the out script without a referrer so I had to rename the script file to make it stop. Maybe it was a bot that was set up to fill out an older version of the at3 form and it messed up at signing up to trade. I think one good thing to do if you are using at3 is to install it into a randomly named directory, not /at3/, so it's not as big of a target. Or use a different script. _________________ DOGFART.COM - THE ORIGINAL INTERRACIAL SPONSOR

my first choice was smart thumbs but I couldn't quite get it working right.... my host has the virtual include functions disabled and the workarounds I found didn't seem to work with it.... but it does with at so here i am.... lol, the only redirects i have set is on the free host i had before I upgraded and actually got my domain name and all. Things were going well then but now it seems as though Murphy's law has kicked in.... I am finally ready to go at it lock stock and barrel and just keep having one problem after another.
But like my dear old granddaddy used to always say.. "If it was easy everybody would be doing it."
I really appreciate your help..... That htaccess tool was interesting, is there anything out there that can block those bad hits from passing through automatically? Obviously I have lost a good trade (see above, and i highly recommend him as a trade partner) over it and don't want to lose anymore. |

My host has the virtual include functions disabled... unfortunately none of the work arounds seem to work, i tried 3 or 4, there was 2 different types of passthru includes that printed the code to the surce but it didnt actually seem to set the cookie so no hits were being counted, then I came across this...
?php // Changing Directory To My Full Document Path
chdir('/my/root/dir/for site/html/at3/');
// System Function Calling And Executing in.cgi
$code = system('./in.cgi', $retval); ? which obviously i changed a little to post it here it has my actual dir path and has the <> in the site. oddly it does the job of setting the cookie but it seems that atl3 works fine with that replacing the call but TP was not registering any hits coming in.... lol that makes for a bad trade so i switched I still have it on my site and tinker with it from time to time like i said i would have preferred it. I dont understand why this works with one but not the other. |
