With online safety products like McAfee SearchScan, etc. popping up everywhere, in my opinion, having the button flash "Unverified" may lead dumb surfers to believe that sites displaying the button are unsafe. This could be hurting sales.

Suggestion: Remove the "Unverified" part and just use plain "Protect-X Protect your traffic" button for unverified sites (with no change to the Verified button).

This way, dumb surfers will not be confused, but we as webmasters will still know the difference between the two buttons.

imo If a surfer is that afraid of the internet, they're probably not going to be giving anyone their CC info in the first place.

What about free signups, email, etc.?

I'm just saying... Do webmasters trade with sites based solely on what the button says without checking the sites on Protect-X?

What is the point of the button displaying a negative message? If it causes only one sale/signup to be lost, it's not worth it.
