What is comes down to is how much time do you have to work on your sites?
Do you love to work on your site

I'm a huge fan of Autogallery i only wish you didn't have to pay 30 per license per site, I have 10 licenses but have sold the domains of 7 of them over the last few years and now have 7 wasted spots that i can't do anything with.

the only problem with Autogallery SQL and Pro
is no bata base import options!.
That is why i have been testing Comusthumbs for over 1 year and they have come a really long way! in just 1 years time.
Do i LOVE Autogallery SQL of www.freegangbang.com
i belive comustumbs and smarth thumbs are Really nice Options!...
Really Big Problem with Smart Thumbs = No auto Thumbnails.
You have to scan the Hole Gallery!
Big waste of time for First time Starters..
Do Smart Thumbs Has Excellent Filter for Thumbs Displaid.

I have been using Autogallery SQL for a while now and it has database import option, all in all I am very happy about the software.
The only thing I hope they will improve on is to make it easier to rotate thumbnails, besides having to write the crontab myself.

1.It does not have the same import features as comusthumb or smart thumbs.
2. the cronjobs should be implemented already with rotator.
My hosting company just copy and paste the cronjobs via c-panel
really easy.
andy minute hour or day of the year and it repeats it self. |

I use jmbsoft TGPR (tgp rotator) which is the same as AutogallerySQL except that rotator doesn't have a submission form... and I also have AGSQL..... and I must say.....they are simple to use (once you have figured how to install them).........but i honestly prefer Comus...... the difference is in the tons of features (statistics, hitbot shield protection, better image rendering for thumbs, trouble-free gallery image scanning, etc) and the "macros" for the so called Production booster..... correct me if I'm wrong but TGPR and AGSQL don't have anything like that.... they just build the galleries and that's it.....
Anyhow... it depends on your tastes.. .. if you want something simple.... AGSQL is the answer.... if you want something more advanced... go for comus.. |

AGSQL is great if your taking submisisons and want a multi niche site. If you get the Smat Thumbs agsql plugin you'll be very happy.
TGPR is ok if your not taking submissions but it's a pain in the ass to make multi page sites with it. It too can get the Smart Thumbs plugin to make your life better.
HOWEVER both scripts will soon be replaced with TGPX which is php code not cgi. Something about the next pearl update. I was on the beta test for it and it was quite good. I'm sure JMB Jeremy will make it even better as time goes on. If you've used their LinkX script it's a very similar control panel.
Comus is a fucking monter script. There isn't much it can't do. I especially like it's traffic control features. And since they just took over ePowerTrader I imagine it will become part of the Comus script or something similar in the near future. Maybe Dred knows. 
Right now I am learning Smart Thumbs and for a thumb CJ script it's pretty fucking slick. Mainly it's got this casting feature that thumbs all pic in a gallery then keeps the most productive one. And hot damn is that great for my lazy ass. Plus you can do all kinds of server hotlink load balancing gymnastic type stuff.
So what I am really saying is that TGPRotator and AutoGallerySQL are not long for this world. And I will miss them.
