Hey what are some good dedicated or virtual dedicated servers?
Something kinda cheap but fast, and with decent bandwidth per month.
What do you guys use?
I've tried 1and1.com which I found kinda cool, but the connection doesnt seem to be very fast.
I've tried gate.com really cheap but support was horrible and I could not seem to get zend installed and the ping was worse than 1and1.com .
I've also tried hostican.com these guys rocked very fast connection and nice tech support, but It's about $200 a month for a server and they dont offer virtual servers which would be nice. I would like to upgrade to these guys once my site grows big enough.
I'm looking for something around $99 a month with a fast connection, and at least 1000gb bandwidth a month. |

and I want one that send me Christmas Presents every year as well, anyone?
I have used 1and1 and the connection speed is very decent, so I am not sure how fast you want it.
Have you tried webair for speed and service yet? They are good. _________________

I havent used webair, I'll try it out though thanks. |

Thanks for the reply I have been using HostIcan.com for the last few months,
I'm running my sites on a VPS for $99 and it has been really awesome. The tech support is so fast and friendly, and the server and bandwidth(unmetered) speeds are so fast also.
If you had posted a few months ago I would have tried them out, I tried
out a whole bunch of places.
here is my affiliate code if anyone is interested in trying them

WEBAIR is by far the best possible hosting solution out there. Excellent service, excellent service, and.... even better service.
I left them once to find a better deal but came back crying after I realized just how important AWESOME SERVICE can be. Not only did the forgive me, but they MATCHED the competitors deal
Check them out, you WILL NOT regret it.

Where is webair located?
Im running on hostgator vps but still needs to babysit during peaks. I have to shut things off to keep it online when traffic exceeds 2,000 visitors and 5,000 page views in a single hour. You would think at $130 a month I would not have to but here I sit.
Cloud hosting serves cached pages and that is fine if you do not rely on stats such as Alexa and Compete for clients to guage advertising on. Clouds serving html cache pages the stat counters do not work. so 500 visitors gets counted as 3 or 4. |
