PostPosted: 24 Jun 2007 02:05    Post subject: Good Trade with only 3% bad? Reply with quote

I have read here that if I send a site over 5% bad traffic in 7 days my status will drop to "GOOD TRADE". As of June 23 my status has dropped from "CLEAN TRADE" to "GOOD TRADE". I can't access all my stats for seven days but what I can access is as follows:

June 18 2.8% Bad
June 19 2.9% Bad
June 20 3.0% Bad
June 21 3.0% Bad
June 22 2.9% Bad
June 23 3.1% Bad

Since my bad traffic is about 3.0% wouldn't that mean that I would be sending out an average of 3.0% to each one of my traders? How could I be sending out over 5% to a ProtectX trader for 7 straight days?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

is not right completely. Your average INCOMING traffic quality is about 3%, this is correct. But you direct this traffic randomly, so sometimes one of your traders could get more than 5% and the other one 0,5% for example, plus it depends of traffic amount, plus your trade script settings, etc.
but this status fluctuations is not a thing to worry about. "Good Trade" is GOOD (not bad or even check). Besides fluctuations are temporary if you really have CLEAN incoming traffic. Now your status is Clean since 2007-06-25. So don't worry about that. But, actually, you deserves a respect for expressing concern over top notch of your traffic Exclamation

Thank you very much for your reply. If most sites have fluctuations between GOOD and CLEAN then I am not so concerned. I added ProtectX to insure my site was not getting bad traffic as my trade script does not have this feature. I was pleased to see it was okay.

Recently I removed 6 trades who were distributing Zango and the ZLOB Trojan Video Codec. Now with ProtectX I can watch for Hitbotters and other bad traffic. Thanks for your help.

My trade script only lets me set up ranked referrer text and thumb links, CJ and TGP with a skim. Unfortunately, I have no control over what goes where. Sad

I think you misses very important features with your script, maybe it is time to change it.

Yes, you are right. I have used ClickZs for many years. Due to a variety of reasons I can't use a script that requires a database and most scripts require it. I have just found out within the last few days that Sloth Trader does not require a database. According to many people at the AskDamageX webmaster forum it's a good script. Nobody seems to have anything real bad to say about it. So I'm thinking of giving it a try.

I think you'll benefit from script changing. Please post your first impressions after using it to let others know what advantages and defects you have found.

No matter what script I decide to use it will require many changes on my site. It will take a lot of time. However, I will post my impressions after it has been in use long enough to evaluate.
