Yes, I buy lots of deleted domain names. This is a ways to find great domain names that have been registered for years. I have been getting lots of google pr2 and pr3 and pr4 domains off deleted domain lists. The hardest part is finding these domain lists then comparing them to a google page rank tool. Then once you find the google pr site, you have to hope no one else is registering it at the same time as you. Its just alot of mouse clicking, unless you can write your own computer scraping program. I have a friend, i'm trying to get to write me one in the new Ruby on Rails language. Ruby on Rails is gaining alot of momentum for online sites.
With buying deleted domains, you can get a golden egg or jack shit. Alot of deleted domains still have lots and lots of traffice to them. You don't know why the domain got deleted. The last owner could have died, went bankrupt, stopped doing internet sites, forgot to update his credit card information for his domain, or just a ton of other what ifs. According to Buisiness 2.0 Magazine. 1 dotcom gets registered ever 2 seconds. And has rose in 130% in last 3 years. In another 5 years, almost ever dotcom will be owned by the big domainer companies.
I usually can get google pr 4 sites, but when I find a google pr 6 site, its usally hard for me to get it. I always start the registration, but get beat out by some big domain parking company.
This has been one of the oldest tactics used since domainers started in the 1990s. There is lots and lots of information to search for on buying deleted domains.
I would not suggest paying for deleted lists untill you know more of what you are doing and are sure your lists are worth paying for. There is many free deleted domain lists, you just have to search for them real hard
I just got videoclaim.com last night, a google page rank 4 site for $9.95. If I get a great 1 or 2 word domain. I put it up for auction on www.greatdomains.com by sedo.com

Honestly i don't believe it is possible. There are a lot of 2-3-word combinations. And there are much more 4-word variations... and so on.
Probably the matter is about most popular word combinations associated with particular online/offline activity. |
