Hey yall,
Great news, we from ePower trader tought it would be a nice addition to have a trades check against the protect-x database. After a bit of coding and very nice chats with the protect-x guys we are finally ready for testing.
What will you need?
A site with epower trader installed (preferable one of the newer revs)
or
A site where you are willing to install ePower trader to start trading with and test with.
In the first case upgrade will be easy, you can either go upgrade in the old pathing. ie everything installed under the root dir, or go with the newer ept dir. the latter has a huge advantage according to me as it makes the root dir a lot less cluttered up.
The upgrade is easy. download the installer from this location: ftp://ftp.comusthumbs.com/installept.php upload it to the root dir or to a dir called ept (make sure it 777 so the script can write to it). Bring the install file up and follow it thru, on the final step click on the upgrade button and if all worked out as it should, you should be having a new and improved ept admin.
To check the trades against the protect-x database theres two options, first you can check each trade individually by clicking the [C] link to the left of the trade. it will bring up the corresponding page on protect-x.com
Or do a mass check on all traders. to do this look in the top menu for the [CHECK TRADES] link, click it and be a lil patient, your trades will be checked against the protect-x db and the older ft db.
Once the check s done youll be presented with a page with all your trades and hopefully they all come up light or dark green, once they come up in one of the two red shades you need to check them out as that means its a blacklisted trade.

Protect-X Team can fully confirm an ePT and Protect-X force merging in fighting versus cheaters (maybe not only in this bunch;).
ePT is worth to have! Great stuff! Already tested by both teams and got great results, don't miss an opportunity to test it and feel the difference.

Hi Guys
Not sure how this happen. But when I hit on check trade in epower, it shows teencasting.com is blacklisted in protect-x. Then I come back here to check this site and it appears not in the blacklist of anyone.
As a matter of fact, this site is unverified.
The only logical reason I can think of is someone here blacklisted this site, and then removed from the blacklist.
That brings me to another question. If a site was a protect-x listed trader before, got blacklisted. Will the site remain blacklist until all the trader that has blacklisted this trade remove him/her from the blacklist?

If site was removed from all blacklists it was added to, it will no longer be listed as 'in users blacklist'. As well as it will not be reported to ePT as blacklisted.
