I am fed up of this hits bots keep coming back
and using htaccess to block 90% of them is slowing the server down. I notice, there are waves of them signing up and/or sending hits to a lot of sites, then all of a sudden everyone trading seems to be infected to some degree. My trade suffer and I am sure I am not the only one.
What I am going to do is set up a page, with links pointing to all know cheater, hitbot, bad guys domains. I will divert all hit bot and bad site traffic back to their circle, let them taste their own medicine. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
But of course, there will be no link from anywhere of my surfer friendly pages that will link to this page. So no human surfer will ever get to that page.
What do this community think, any suggestion and any comment of this?

Close your signup pages. Webmasters should setup trades with each other through email or icq. That way you won't have any cheaters trading with you. _________________

What keeps a cheater from trading with you through email or icq? |

no no no
Is not just the one who signed up to trade. There are domains sending me bad hits for no reason, some of them signed up before, I blacklist them, ban them, block them but somehow, there seems to be no way of blocking all the bad hits.
Remember a few months back, I got a bunch of chinese traffic coming from no where, block the domain send me hits etc etc, and still coming until it gave up on my site eventually. Crazy stuff.
I am making this ' mouse trap ' page to send them back the bad traffic as we speak.
By the way, I just notice I got your icq on my list StickyGreen, hmm cannot remember how. Anyway love to trade with you, let me know if you are interested and which one of your site you like to trade with?
Thanks,

Hi,
Slowing server down is for sure, I do not know how much but I suppose if you have a good dedicate server you will be okay.
However as the list getting longer and longer day by day, it will get worse and worse.
The main thing is I don't think htaccess is blocking all the hits, I tried and I don't know how they still get through. _________________

Hey Trulymad,
I think at some point you just have to say, "I tried". You will kill yourself trying to make your site 100% clean. Junk traffic comes and goes all the time.
Cheers,

Hey Boom
Yeah I know but I am real pissed off about it.
I just discovered something interesting though, as I have recently changed my traffic script, my old sign up page is still in the server, but no way anyone can reach that page because I have changed all my links to sign up trade.
Today 3 trades signed up, sent no hits, 2 of them are cheater after I check on them. And 1 of them start downloading stuff into my computer.
I am out for a revenge. _________________

Hey Trulymad,
I know how you feel. Sometimes you just shake your head and say what the fuck. I love the guys who start sending you hitbot traffic before they signup for a trade. They are giving you a head start on catching them, LOL.
Good luck on your revenge mission
Cheers,

hmm, good point.
Thanks Protect-x for reminding me this
May be I can use different anchor text , things like trojan site, cheater dog, do not click, stay away .. .. etc etc so search index will think the link is not good link
Need to think of something to get back to them. _________________
