Hi,
just wondering how i can control my sponsors stats, actually what they give me? I'm already frustrated of tons of hits sent to galleries/sponsors sites and a few bucks returned back. Maybe there is some mechanism for controlling signups or massive blacklists of dishonest affiliate programs or at least sponsors review site (not from the point of surfer, but from webmaster point of view). |

I always check out a potential sponsor at GFY. If they're doing anything shady, someone over there will nail them.

A sponser using NATs code or CCbill always helps I suppose.
This is how I work, Say I am promoting 3 cam sites at the same time, all with similar prices and tour and if I promoted them equally, 1 of them conversion rate is 1:350, 1 is 1:1000 and the last 1 is 0:5000...... then it is pretty obvious who is cheating lol.
Having said that, what MAX suggest surely is a good idea, but how are we going to get evidence to prove a sponser is cheating. As far as I know, they all cheat a little, one way or another, but just a matter of scale, right?
I wish all of them use systems like NATs. _________________

Unfortunately NATs is developed for affiliate program owners, it is being fully hosted on sponsor server, so you can't rely on NATs stats as well as on any custom solutions.
After reviewing CCBill system basic features i can tell that it seems to be what i wanted to see. They control affiliates statistics as well as billing stats, so sponsor that using CCBill could not hide sign ups.
Though i can't see any technical possibility to interconnect merchant and affiliate statistics. Affiliate links go thru the CCBill, so they can track refer stats. Members join billing process is also provided by CCBill. But there is no any code in the pay site page or any other visible mechanism that connect refer code with sign up. I suppose it being performed by the internal CCBill online algorithm. Would be great to get some tips about it.
Another CCBill lack is that they have a short list of countries acceptable for making a payment to.
GFY review is a good point, i'll try to use this way of affiliate program approving. |
