Hi All,
I am new to protect-x so please help with some info if you can?,Every thing seems to be running ok and recording stats but one of my main traffic trades is not showing up in my stats even though i have had lots of hits from them since i installed the script,I take it the script collects hits from all sites to mine as i have stats from sites not on my toplist or in my trade script?.How can i make my trade hits with a particular site show in protect-x?

Seem you've removed it for some reason. So i can't tell you the reason your main trade was not counted properly.
BTW, what trader was missed?

hi,
yes i removed the script as it completely broke my site and had to spend hrs trying to put it right and i still think its not running right and it only happened when i installed you script,i run comus thumbs with ept and everything was fine then after a couple hrs of having ur script installed it started screwing up my trades and basically broke my site.

Hi,
I had been told about Protect-x and installed the script direct from here when i signed up,i will be honest and tell you that im quite a new web master and i have 4 sites running and the one i have registered here http://guys-only.linksexpress.co.uk is my most advanced one for me.I run comus thumbs with epower trader and have done on this site for about 1 month with no problems at all and even had cron jobs set to do the work on the toplist,then i signed up here and installed the script for the protect-x button from here,i had to modify my .htacess file with :

AddType text/html .html
AddHandler server-parsed .html

That was on the forum here in the support section and then used the include code to display the script and i thought great everything is working good then after a few hours my hits in and out in epower starting doing funny things like the 24hr overall stats going backwards and dropping hits in for the hour i was checking ie, one minute one of my trades had sent me 21 hits thats hour then a re check of my trades it went down to 18 then down to 15 and so on,i left it overnight to see id it would steady itself out but not at all and in the morning epower had ground to a stand still,In the my sites in protect-x it showed all the hits i had to my sites over 2000 in the 24 hrs but epower did not refelct this and had not been skimming traffic like it should have been to the click pattern i had set of
: 100,100,100,0,0=(gallery,gallery,gallery,trade,trade),

instead it was just going to my alternative url that i set in epower to one of my other sites and all my counts in epower were at zero.I spent all day yesterday and early into this morning re building my page stripping out epower and protect-x from my server and re-installed epower and tried to reset my trades back up but because my script had not been sending traffic most my trades have now collapsed so i am now trying to get my trades back and making sure epower is running smooth,i have even canceled the cron for epower just now til i know it's stable.
I am sorry if this has taken some reading i'm just trying to let you knkow everything i can think of what has happened and what i've done and i would really like to use protect-x and i hope we can resolve this.

First of all thank you for the full description of your problem.
Must say that our script works stable with Comus products (COmus & EPT), we even have integrated with EPT as you can see.
One more question to clear situation - did you delete
AddType text/html .html
AddHandler server-parsed .html
code from htaccess file after the crash? I'm asking you because generally this code force server to parse scripts in html files. I doubt it could harm trade script files, but we can't totally exclude possibility of damage without investigation. As far as htaccess file could define server rules for particular folder and appropriate subfolders, you can create new .htaccess with above code in the same folder with your main page (makes sense only if your main page file is not in the root) in order to keep trade script files out of this rules.

As you i will probably tell i have re-installed your script along with epower and had made a new .htaccess file placed it the same folder as my index.html and changed some file permissions and all seem's good so far,I have been chatting to Boneless over on the comus forum and i'm confident that every thing will stay smooth.

Boneless and all Comus team are great guys that always ready to help.
From my (PX) end all looks stable and correct. Script works fine. Even hidden links operate correctly... this fact indicates you've set correct permission for the script folder.
