My average prod fluctuating between 80 and 110%. I'm wondering how i can improve it to get at least 200% and turn down site feeding. I know that some traffic is very unproductive (bad countries, proxies, hitbots) and i fight with this shit on my sites. But, i bet you agree with me, some universal measurement for site attractiveness and quality could be bookmark traffic, because nobody (except your most terrible enemies) wont hitbot your sites without refer simulating bookmark traffic. My bookmark prod is even lower than average.
So it would be great to know how you, guys, increase your prod for bookmarks? I suppose it is rather content quality and uniqueness question.
Maybe using of some image filters help to get thumbs look better?
Do anybody use Photoshop or any other image editor with thumbs? |

it's pornglam.com , recently started Glam Porn free site.
i'll try to change gallery set to see will it improve bookmark productivity. Currently i'm on glamcash galleries. |

I have a kind of same problem, but I have pretty good prod from bookmarks and SE but not so god prod from trades.
So question for me is how to get up my trade prod.
I noticed that most guys here on PX is using thumbs sites, and I am running a text site, anyone got some experience about the differences between thumbs site and text sites, IŽll be all ears

I have another interesting question about productivity!
Example1:
I have one trade send me 100 hits prod 200% total out 200 hits if I send this site 250 uniques I loose 50 hits!
Example2:
I have one site sends me 400 hits prod 50% total out 200 hits if I send this site 250 uniques I still loose 50 hits!
So question is what does it matter what the prod is, the important number is what you send vers. what you get.
I understand that the prod. is important because if I get high prod. from one site and the same site gets high prod from me, thats a win win situation, but I dont think the prod is the only number to consider.
Though I do prefer high prod from SE & Bookmarks
So I do not look that much at prod
Or am I totally out here?

you forgot to mention skim value in your examples... lets say you have 50% skim .... in first case you'll send half of your total out hits to galleries (100 hits) and other half will be sent to trade (100 hits). You need to return 100 hits to this trader as you received 100 from him, so you lose nothing but receive additional 100 hits to galleries thanks to high prod.
In second case you send skimmed amount (100 hits) to galleries and left 100 hits to trade, but need to return 400 hits to your trader. So you lose 300 hits due to low pprod and need to feed your site or send bookmarks, SE whatever.
Do you process thumbs with some custom filters or use standard imagemagic settings? |

I did not mention skim values because I ment I send the trade 250 uniques in both cases, the only thing skim would do is increase/decrease my prod on trader site!
What you are describing is what I would call a regular trade on unique, and yes I would gain but what?
If your site send me 100 uniques then the important figure is how many clicks to my trades they produce, if they produce 50 clicks out and I send you 100 uniques... then I loose 50!
What my example shows is that prod is not a important matter, first site send me 100 second site send me 400 but with different prod, both trades are equal.
So I just have to consider how much my traders produces clicks out from my page vs how much I send to them!

My sites are all text links, no thumbs!

| i prefer to use sponsors with high quality fhgs to not mess up with filters, tunings and manual cropping. |

I agree! But I having a real hard time to get good prod from my trades!
I this moment my trade (24hrs) is from
Bookmarks: 350%
Google: 220%
Yahoo: 180%
Trades: 45%

If you receive 2000 from bookmarks , 1000 from SE , and 500-700-900 from traders its ok your site can grow and you have prod 150-210% but if your traders send you more with same prod your hits stat go down !
Also i think its very small prod you need block bad countries !
