Hi everybody:)
I have a rather strange stats for bad clicks at my tgp. Only the one click for every country from every trader counts as a good. All another clicks counts as a bad. Meanwhile all noref & SE traffic is good. I guess there's some bug somewhere... Do you have any idea about it? |

It's rather funny statistic then
I made an experiment.
1. Go to site that trades with mine and click the link to go to my site
2. Go to protect-x stats and see 1 good click from my country
3. Go to my trader's site again and click the link to go to my site
4. Get 2 clicks from my country 1 good and 1 bad
5. make step 3 again and get another bad click..
So. I'm sure, I'm not a hitbot Maybe the term 'bad traffic' does not mean hitbot traffic? |

Hi ,
do you use the old or new button script ?? Because I have now 1 domain with the new script and every day I have a lot of bad hits (>50%) from other trades and I don't know why ?? I am not sure what is the difference of "anti-cheat" from the old to the new one but it seams to me that something don't work fine.
Otherwise I see "unknown country" on the stats too. I guess that a trade with (acutal 85 hits in will have 27 from unknown). Will be used there a old ip-to-country file ?? I use own stats with ip-to-country and I can't reflect that hugh amount of "unknown".
I think Anti-Cheat is very important and the service of protect-x is very nice but it is a little bit strange that actual trading scripts like ScriptPulse, ATX, etc. don't reflect so hugh amount of bad traffic as I will view it on Protect-X stats.
Today I lost my stats and I got it only after clicking on "update" but I get it with the whole amount So it seems to me that the new version is a little bit buggy - not to say "very funny" right now _________________ ===============================

I use the old one. There was some troubles with new version and I can't make it works. Either the page didn't load (get a blank page) or script didn't count clicks. So I take an old version.
It's all OK with unknown countries. But as I said only one click for every country from trader counts as a good (for ex. trader-XXX sent 155 US clicks 154 is bad, 45 DE clicks - 44 is bad, and so on)
Maybe there's some incompatibles between at3+stream, protect-x and me But I tried to put the fucking script include at all possible places (at index.shtml and stream rotator template) with same result.
I also think Anti-Cheat is very important and the service of Protect-X is just one I know. So I'm looking for clues...
Did you ever try this combination AT3(atx)+Stream Rotator+Old Protect-X? Did you ever meet that strange "bad clicks" situation I have? |

You did two clicks from same ip in little time period. So one of these clicks bad for our system. Do you want to trade with someone who sends the same guy to your site during 5 mins? _________________ Free A-B-C-D Hard Links Exchange Automatic System:

Sure, no. I don't. But I can't believe in my stats. I guess I did something wrong with script installation. But if it's all OK with my stats and other people have same I don't know how to use that stats then.
P.S. good news! some traders send me up to 3 good hits per country a day |

I don't had this problem with new one but only that PX hasn't counted anything up to that time I have pushed some times the "update button" on my trader list up to it was recognized and connected well with my server. It was not declared in the INSTALL.txt but here on this forum

ok, there can be a very very low % of unkown countries but >90% as I have it right now with the new script - never had this with the old one with the same traders. I get with the new one the same bad hits for some traders (not for all) like as 1 trader has Total IN 231, unknown 172 (122 bad), another trader IN 271, unknown 263 (259 bad) .. and so on. The old script works fine without any problem.

I don't think so. I have bought in the past a site which was running with Proton+Stream and hadn't any problem of installing PX (old one). I have also AT3 (but without Stream) + PX (old one) and it works fine too.

AT3 only without stream but with old PX. But as I know it from the site with Stream where I had implemented a external counting script (javascript) similar to PX I got also a blank page when I defined the include before the Stream-IN include. After defined it behind (after that stream loads the page source) it was working perfectly.
Have you defined the PX include before the include of Stream-IN ?? or behind ?? if before put it behind - this will be the solution with the "blank page" I guess _________________ ===============================

I don't think you have done something wrong with installation but you should know that PX stats are not in any way stats for control any script stats because both are different from counting (like Uniq/Proxy/Bad/...). You should use PX stats for anti-cheat controlling of your trader but with better/newer scripts you can do it within the script too (if they have IMG feature included). _________________ ===============================

So. It was something wrong with that server. When I install PX at another domain/host and feed my traffic there it shows me about 2-3% bad clicks.
Speednic - thanks for your help:) |

no prob jh096
about the "unknown + bad traffic" with the new button I guess that it is a problem within the "whois command" because sometimes I see that the whois don't terminate correctly on my server. To have more realtime stats I have changed the new button back to the old one without to have a lot of "unknown traffic" _________________ ===============================
