I have been wondering about this for a LONG TIME, and I figured I would ask the only people who would know. When I'm looking at a TGP site, the link from one of the pictures is, for example:

(PS- I had to remove my URL because I have not 3 posts, but hopefully my question still makes sense) Baiscally, a good URL contained within a bunch of other nonsense stuff with numbers, other site URL's, etc.

When I click it, I get some other BS site most (but not all) of the time.

Now, clearly, there is a valid, good URL contained in that nonsense-
(example removed)

Can someone explain what is going on there, and why? I've gotten into the habbit of not clicking images in a TGP but instead copying the link URL into a new tab, removing all that crap from the front and end that keeps it from working, and then load it. What is that /&p=65 at the end, and all the stuff at the front? Sometimes I try changing those numbers and seeing what happens. (especially good with sites that have sequential folder numbers!) What's the mechanism here, why does it work only sometimes?

I wonder if someone could write a browser plug-in to mine the valid URL out of the rest of the stuff...

Anyway, thanks for your answers!

I hope that I understood your question right and I try to answer Smile

Actually the majority of sites that you call tgp really are cjs Wink For more info please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thumbnail_gallery_post.
When you look at cj site you see the pictires. The pictures are clickable. When you click on some picture you go to a gallery or to another cj. You even can click on the same picture several times and every new click can bring you to different site. It's normal Smile It's standard cj behavior Smile It does not matter what number you type at the and of url Smile
Actually after clicking on some tumb you are redirecting several times by trade script Smile

In a few words all these things are needed for better traffic (surfers) converting into money. According to statistics a probability of buying some porn product by surfer increases if the surfer visited several CJs.
